Class of 2012 Attends Defense Day at Moody Air Force Base

The 2012 Leadership Lowndes class and several alumni volunteers experienced another great Program Day at Moody Air Force Base on March 15th. As always the experience was eye opening for many of the class members. In fact, this was the first visit to Moody for several of the class members. The activities, planned by this year’s Day Chair, Col. Mark Ruse, involved a breakfast briefing by Col. Billy Thompson, a visit to the Air Park, tours of several aircraft, live bombing demonstrations at the Grand Bay Range, a tour of the Deployment Center and a hands-on experience with the weapons and flight simulators, to name a few. The committee responsible for this successful event included: Col. Mark Ruse (Chairman), Brian Childress, Richard Hammond, Elizabeth Holley, Katie Minor, Brad Soshnik, Dereck Willis, Paul Burgess and Thor Hahn.
